Suitable (and Unsuitable) Extinguishing Media: Use dry chemical, carbon dioxide, foam, or water spray.
Specific Hazards Arising from the Chemical: May burn under fire conditions after water has evaporated. Burning
may produce oxides of carbon, silicon dioxide, and formaldehyde. Closed containers may rupture if exposed to
extreme heat.
Special Protective Equipment and Precautions for Fire-fighters: Firefighters should wear positive pressure
self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing for fires in areas where chemicals are used or stored.

Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment, and Emergency Procedures: Wear appropriate protective
equipment.
Environmental Precautions: Prevent entry in storm sewers and waterways. Report spill as required by local and
national regulations.
