1.1.3 PURPOSE OF EQUIPMENT
The CO-MR is a night vision system intended to be used for short to medium ranges (normally up to 700
yards) in conjunction with a daytime sight, or riescope (hereafter referred to as a “day scope”). When
mounted on a weapon in front of an existing day scope, the CO-MR adds to the scope’s capabilities a
nightvisionfunction,withoutaectingtheboresight.
The CO-MR is compatible with most commercial and military specication day scopes or binoculars up
to7XmagnicationandtsanyPicatinnyMILSTD1913orWeaverrailviathequickreleasemount.
Optional adapters make it possible to mount the CO-MR directly to the objective lens of a variety of
day scopes and binoculars.
A long-range IR850 illuminator (hereafter referred to as the IR850) enables use of the CO-MR in ex-
tremely low light conditions or total darkness. Other additional equipment, such as an infrared laser,
red dot sight, etc., may also be installed on the CO-MR.
NOTE:
The CO-MR can also be installed in front of the viewnders of various instruments to widen the
operational illumination range.
