WARNING:
It is recommended that you use an eyecup on the eyepiece of the day scope. This will allow
for comfort and adjustment. It will also prevent light from escaping through the eyepiece and
alerting other NVD users to your location.
NOTE:
The optical axes of the Cipher and day scope should align. It is not recommended for the dis-
tancebetweentheaxestoexceed3mm.IfthedierenceintheaxisheightsoftheCipherand
day scope above the weapon rail exceeds 3mm, you will need to replace the day scope mount-
ing rings or monoblock.
The Cipher comes fully assembled with a Picatinny/Weaver mount (Figure 3-2).
The mount (A) coupled with the raiser (B) is attached to the Cipher seating rail (C) with two M4×20 at
head socket cap screws (D).

The Cipher mounted on a Extended Rail Adapter in front of a day scope is shown in Figure 3-3.
Install the Cipher on a Picatinny/Weaver rail as follows:
1. Unscrew the output lens cap and place it in the storage case.
2. Remove the light suppressor from the storage case. Screw it into the output lens’ thread, in place of
the cap.
3. Unlock the clamping device (A) of the Cipher mount by pushing down on the dog (B, see Figure 3-3)
and unlocking the cam lever (C).
4. Install the Cipher on the Picatinny/ Weaver rail in front of the day scope so that the stop (E, see Figure
3-2) slides into one of the rail’s transverse slots. The light suppressor should cover the day scope’s
