then back to IGNITION before another attempt.
1. See Figure 8. To enter the PIN, turn the ignition switch to
IGNITION. The odometer window displays ENTER PIN.
2. Press and release the left turn signal. The first digit space
flashes.
3. Input five digits of the PIN.
a. Increment the digit by tapping the left turn signal until the
odometer window displays the first digit of the PIN.
b. Press right turn switch 1 time to move to the second digit.
c. Repeat until all five digits of the PIN have been
entered.
NOTES
• If the digit cycles past 9, the digit starts over at 1.
• If any of the digits do not match assigned PIN, the security
system is activated.
4. The vehicle is disarmed and ready to start.
Security
Changing the PIN
The dealership sets a temporary PIN when they are setting up
the motorcycle for delivery. The owner can change the PIN at
any time.
1. Select a five-digit number (1-9, no zeros).
2. With an assigned fob present, cycle to the ENTER PIN
prompt in the odometer window.
a. See Figure 8. Cycle the ignition switch twice:
IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION.
b. Press and release the left turn signal switch two times.
(ENTER PIN will scroll through the odometer window)
c. Press right turn signal switch one time and release
(Turn signals will flash three times. Current PIN will
appear in odometer. The first digit will be flashing.)
d. Enter first digit of new PIN by pressing and releasing
the left turn signal switch until the selected digit
appears.
e. Press right turn signal switch one time and release (the
new digit will replace the current in the odometer
window
f. Repeat until all five digits have been entered
3. Turn the OFF/RUN switch OFF, then turn the ignition
switch to OFF.

SECURITY SYSTEM FOB
Assigning Fob
Key fobs are electronically assigned to the
security system by a Harley-Davidson dealer. Only two fobs
can be assigned at any one time.
Purchase replacement fobs from a Harley-Davidson dealer.
The fobs can only be assigned to an individual motorcycle by
a trained Harley-Davidson technician.

The module will arm only if the fob has been assigned by
a Harley-Davidson dealer and a Personal Identification
