Step 1 With the stock flare and inner well removed, locate the side marker wiring harness. Press in on the locking tabs, and remove the wiring harness from the wheel well. Step 2 Prepare the wiring harness by removing the plastic mounting tab on the wiring harness with a utility knife. Step 3 Remove the black electrical tape near the grey quick plug of the harness. Make a slit in the casing to expose the inner wires. Remove the grey quick plug with a wire snips.

Step 5 Remove approximately 4" of the flex wire cover from the prepared end of the wiring harness. Step 6 Using the top mounting location on the fender flare as a guide, along with a square, mark the crown of the outside of the fender flare where the side marker will be installed. Center punch the marked location. Step 7 Drill a pilot hole and widen the hole with a 3/8" drill bit. Make sure to drill through both sides of the round tube. Step 8 Seat the rubber light housing into the drilled hole.

Step 9 Route the wiring harness through the fender flare using a wire to help guide the harness through. Route the wire down through the drilled hole the and out the access hole. Tape the trimmed-end of the harness to the end of the guide wire and pull the harness through the fender flare. Remove the electrical tape. Step 10 Route the wires on the back of the side marker through the middle hole in the rubber light housing. Prepare the marker wires for splicing by cutting the yellow wire 1" shorter.

Step 13 Place the provided screws through the side marker and into the fender flare by using a drill and a Phillips bit on a low torque setting or a Phillips screwdriver. Step 14 Place the fender flare into position. Route the wire back to the quick plug and reconnect. Step 15 Tighten all fender flare fasteners. Test side marker lights for proper operation. Repeat steps 1 through 15 on the passenger side. Step 16 Congratulations on the installation of your brand new ARIES fender flare side marker lights.
