3. Tighten blade screws (A) securely.
Remove Blade Guard
Note: Do not operate hedge trimmer without blade guard and blade tip guard installed.
1. Stop hedge trimmer (See “Stopping Cordless Electric Hedge Clipper”)
2. Remove battery (See “Battery Removal”)
Hedge Trimmer blades are very sharp. Touching them may lead to severe personal injury. Avoid
touching blades whenever possible, and always wear gloves to protect hands. Use a socket and
extension when removing and installing blade guard lock nuts in order to keep hands at a safe
distance from sharp blades.
3. Remove blade guard lock nuts (A).
4. Remove blade guard (B).
5. Remove blade tip guard (C).
Install Blade Guard
1. Install blade tip guard (C).
2. Install blade guard (B).
3. Secure blade guard with blade guard lock nuts (A).
If blade guard or blade tip guard are damaged or show signs of
wear, replace them.
