Show Me Math

each math problem can be illustrated with
an animated movie. Assessments evaluate
student progress with detailed record keep-
ing. The instructional module helps students
visualize math problems. Users can select
answers on the keyboard, or by clicking on a number . . . or the
student can choose the “Show Me!” option. Here, the answer
is illustrated with a short animated movie. For example, 5–3=2:
Five sheep, three walk away, leaving 2 sheep. Choose from four
animated characters: Sheep, ants, beans and ping-pong balls.

Show Me Spelling CD
Functional spelling for low-level read-
ers. Show Me Spelling allows even the
most struggling reader the opportunity
to succeed at spelling. All 600 spell-
ing words have corresponding speech
with pictures. Appropriate for any age
and a wide range of ability levels. Includes instruction and quiz
modes. In the instruction mode, you create a spelling list by
selecting words from our word bank, or choose from dozens
of preselected lists. You can adjust the diffi culty of the program
by offering students helpful spelling hints, like showing the next
letter. If the student is still stumped, she can choose the “Show
Me” option. Here, a short animated movie will present the
correct spelling. Incorrect responses don’t appear so students
can’t give wrong answers. This allows for extended indepen-
dent work by those with limited spelling skills. You can select
an option that also plays a “celebration” movie when a student
spells a word correctly.The quiz mode lets you implement a
pre- and post-test strategy to evaluate student progress. You
can easily save students’ word list and quiz scores. Students
spell by using the standard keyboard or on-screen alphabet.

illustrations are realistic and appropriate for any age. Program
includes instruction and multiple choice options. A new fea-
ture presents the written word with or without a picture. You
can easily create a personalized word fi le for each student, or
choose from seven preselected lists: Community, house, people,
outdoor, actions, and adjectives. Printout custom picture books

reading enrichment because it helps teach

In “explore,” students move to 24 locations, learning new words
as they go. Select any object and it identifi es itself. In “list”
option, students search home, school and community for specifi c
words. Use “picture print” to create student activities or illus-
