Practical Examples

No ADSL and POTS available do not test anything

During the synchronization, a modem sends several pilot tones. On the ARGUS 42, every one or two
seconds, strongly varying frequencies are being shown. Upon sync, the frequency displayed is relatively
stable (variations of a couple of KHz).
The greater the data rate, the greater the output power, and the
shorter the line, the bigger is the frequency of the ADSL signal
metered.
