Startup – Selection of the Desired Profile
When starting up the ARGUS 42, the screen shown below appears. You have got three
choices now:
 Select the type of access LINE
 Measure R/C
 Start an ADSL Test
profile selection
The middle soft key is switching its functionality, depending
on the VDC metered on the line. It behaves the following:
VDC = 0V R/C measurement
VDC < 60V POTS telephony
VDC > 60V ISDN BRI U telephony
When using one profile only, the ARGUS 42
immediately starts synchronizing upon
pressing the right softkey named ADSL.
