7 Operation on a VDSL Access
ARGUS 141 77
Clear down the VDSL connection and save the results
ARGUS – State display
Clear down the VDSL connection.
<Log>PC>:
The ARGUS will send the trace file to the
connected PC, which must be running
WINplus or WINanalyse. The data will be
saved in the standard "pcap" format and
can be decoded with a freeware program
(e.g. Wireshark). The setting “Data log”
must be set to “on”. In bridge mode, two
log files will be loaded to the PC, one for
the WAN and one for the LAN side.
The ARGUS saves the VDSL connection
parameters together with the trace data
in the first available memory location,
which can be assigned any name (see
page 119).
The name for the memory location is
entered using the keypad (default:
AMP_1, AMP_2, ... or the call number of
the access under test if the number has
been entered into the speed-dialling
memory (see page 127)).
If the memory is full, you must manually
select a memory location to be
overwritten.
