7 Operation on a VDSL Access

Settings: Explanation:
Access parameters
Phys. parameters:
VDSL Access parameters for the VDSL connection
Rated value
Use the keypad to enter the upstream and downstream comparison
values for the bitrate [kbit/s]. If the current bitrates on the VDSL
connection exceed the rated values, the ARGUS will display "OK“,
otherwise it will display "FAIL“.
Default setting: d: 0 and u: 0
FW
Selection of the firmware (FW) in the VDSL chipset.
The following options are available - FS10.3 and FS10.4.
Default setting: FS10.3 (recommended)
Carrier set
Selection of the VDSL carrier set.
The following sets are available: A43, B43, V43.
Default setting: A43, B43, V43
Protocol: Selection of the transfer protocol that the ARGUS should use for the
test (e.g. for an IP test).
Protocols for ADSL:
PPPoE (PPPoEoA) - Point-to-Point Protocoll over Ethernet
PPPoA - Point-to-Point-Protokoll over ATM
EoA (IPoE, IPoEoA) - Ethernet over ATM
IPoA - Internet Protokoll over ATM
Default setting: PPPoE
MAC / VLAN: MAC (Media Access Control) and 
VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network)
MAC address Display and selection of the MAC addresses. 
The first two MAC addresses cannot be changed.
If the default MAC address is selected, the ARGUS will use its own
MAC address.
Default setting: Default MAC address

If Dynamic MAC Address is select a different MAC address will be
used for each synchronization.

A third MAC address can be entered: Mark and then press
<Edit>.
