EN ULTRASONIC HUMIDIFIER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Read the instructions carefully before operating the appliance or carrying out maintenance operations. Observe all the safety instructions; failure to observe the instructions may lead to accidents and/or damage. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
GENERAL OPERATING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS The appliance is a highly effective humidifier: only use this humidifier as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or malfunctions. Ensure that the mains voltage complies with that indicated on the data plate (220-240V/50Hz).
humidity or “white dust” contained in the mist may cause the appliances to malfunction. In the event of an anomaly, switch the appliance off and unplug it immediately. Do not dismantle, repair or modify this product freely. In the event of a malfunction, contact the after-sales service centre directly. Do not immerse the power cord, plug or any other part of the appliance in water or other liquids. Do not touch the plug with wet hands. Do not inhale the mist discharged from the nozzle.
Do not place the appliance close to furniture or curtains. The mist may wet the furniture or curtains causing them to fade or deform. Also, the white powder contained in the steam could alter the furniture's surface: therefore you should avoid directing the steam jet directly towards furniture. Do not operate the appliance in close proximity to bathtubs, showers, washbasins or pools. WARNING To move the appliance, lift the base without tilting the unit to avoid water spillage.
During winter, the water in the tank may freeze and cause the appliance to malfunction. Remove the water from the tank. Carry out maintenance on the appliance by regularly and thoroughly cleaning the tank and nebuliser. Continuous operation of the appliance with dirt residues may lead to faults and malfunctions. WARNING: THE ON/OFF SWITCH IS NOT THE ONLY METHOD OF DISCONNECTING THE MAINS POWER.
HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE Position the appliance on a flat, stable surface. Take the top part of the appliance by the sides with both hands and turn upside-down. Open the tank cap by turning it anti-clockwise; fill the tank with water and then close it again. Turn the tank and place it on the base. After properly filling the water tank and repositioning the tank on the unit, connect the plug with the electrical socket, checking that the mains voltage meets the product requirements (220-240V~50-60Hz).
WARNING!! After using the appliance for a certain period of time, limescale deposits may build up in the water tank and nebuliser. Therefore, it is recommended to clean the water tank and nebuliser regularly with the brush provided. Do not leave water in the tank when it is not in use. To ensure the appliance runs properly, the water in the tank should be changed everyday.
POTENTIAL FAULTS AND SOLUTIONS PROBLEM The humidifier is not working There are salts in the steam The humidification effect is not strong enough There is an abnormal noise There is water around the unit POTENTIAL CAUSE The plug is not connected properly. There is a shortage of water in the tank. The tank is not positioned correctly. The water is not clean. The tank and nebuliser have residue which must be removed.
