3.1 Example how to connect the Gyro Module using the RP6 Experimental board
from AREXX to the RP6 WIFI Control board
3.1.1 Schematic
3.1.2 Description
This proposal uses the ADC12 input of the RP6 WIFI board (PIN 9 from the
ADC_IO2/CMP header) and 2 GPIO lines (PIN 4 and 8) to control the mode of the
Gyro (sleep or test mode). The advantage of this proposal is to use only one
interconnection cable to the RP6 WIFI board which provides power supply and the
required ADC and GPIO lines.
3.1.3 Material required
1 pcs RP6 Experimental board
2 pcs 4-pin connectors to plug in the gyro module
1 pcs 10-pin header
1 pcs 10-pin inter board connector (1:1) to connect the experimental board to the
RP6 WIFI Control board
4. Function of the Gyro Module
The Gyro Module is a high performance low-power single-axis gyroscope capable of
sensing angular rate up to ~200 dps along the yaw axis.
Sleep-Mode, self-test and power down can be controlled via the PINs ST and
Sleep/PD to save current.
Truth table and detailed functional description refer to the Datasheet LY330ALH.PDF.
5. Software
Please refer to your RP6 Robot, RP6 WIFI or RP6 Control documentation how to
read analog input.
