befromapproximately40–100°F.Donotstorethebatteryormodelinahotgarage,
carordirectsunlightwheneverpossible.Ifstoredinahotgarageorcarthebattery

• Donotover‐dischargetheLiPoflightbattery.DischargingtheLiPoflightbatterytoa
voltagethatistoolowcancausedamagetothebatteryresultinginreducedpower,
flightdurationorfailureofthebatteryentirely.
LiPocellsshouldnotbedischargedtobelow3.0Veachunderload.Inthecaseofthe
3‐Cell/3S11.1VLiPobatteryusedtopowertheP‐51DMustang350youwillnotwant
toallowthebatterytofallbelow9.0Vduringflight.
Theincluded15‐AmpBrushlessMotorESC(AZS1410)featuresa‘soft’lowvoltage
cutoff(LVC)thatsmoothlyreducespowertothemotor(regardlessofthepower
levelyouhavesetwiththeleft‐hand/throttlestick)toletyouknowthevoltageof
thebatteryisclosetothe9.0Vminimum.
However,evenbeforethisreductionin
power,ifyoufindthatmorethanthetypicalamountofthrottle/powerisrequired
tocruiseorclimbyoushouldlandthemodelanddisconnectthebatteryimmediately
topreventover‐discharge.
AndwhileitispossibletocontinueflyingthemodelafterthesoftLVCoccursthisis
NOTrecommended.Continueddischargingcanresultinreachingthe5.0V‘hard’LVC
whichmaycausepermanentdamagetotheLiPobatteryresultinginreducedpower
andflightdurationduringsubsequentfights(orfailureof
thebatteryentirelywhich
isnotcoveredunderwarranty).
Also,itisnotrecommendedthatyouflytothesoftLVCeverytimeyoufly.Instead
youshouldbeawareofthepowerlevelofthebattery/airplanethroughoutthe
flight,andifatanytimetheairplanebeginstorequiremorethrottle/powerthan
typicaltomaintaincruiseorclimbyou
shouldlandtheairplaneanddisconnectthe
LiPobatteryimmediately.ConstantlydischargingthebatterytothesoftLVCcanstill
causepermanentdamagetothebatterysoit’sbesttouseatimerorstop‐watchto
timethedurationofyourflightsandtostopflyingatareasonable
timebeforethe
softLVCisreached.
