IntheeventyouarenotfamiliarwiththecontrolsoftheP‐51DMustang350pleasetake
thetimetofamiliarizeyourselfwiththemasfollowsandbeforeattemptingyourfirstflight.
Theleft‐handstickonthetransmittercontrolsthethrottleandrudder.Whentheleft‐hand
stick(alsoknownasthe‘throttle’stick)isinthelowestpossiblepositionthemotorwillnot
runandthepropellerwillnotspin.
Moving the stick upward will increase the
speed/RPM
of the propeller. Increasing the
speed/RPM of the propeller increases the
speed of the model and also provides the
thrustneededtoclimb/increasealtitude.
Decreasingthespeed/RPMofthepropellerby
lowering the left ‐hand stick will decrease the
speed of themodel andreduce thrustmaking
itpossibletodescend/decreasealtitude.
Duringflightyoucanadjustthethrottletoaposition,typicallyaroundthemiddle(also
known
as‘halfstick/power’),tomaintain/cruiseatagivenaltitudeandincreaseflightduration.
