Pliers,
anadjustablewrenchand/or
a5.5mmsocket/wrench
Toinstallthe4‐bladepropellerstartbythreadingthe3mm‘flanged’nutontothe
threadedportionofthemotorshaft,withthe‘flange’orientedtowardtheendofthe
shaft,untilitstopsattheendofthethreads.Tightenthisnut
inplace(donotover‐
tighten!)theninstallthepropellerontheshaftandslideitagainstthenut.
Toinstallthe2‐bladepropellerstartbythreadingthefirst(rear)3mmhex‘lock’nut
ontothethreadedportionofthemotorshaft,withthenyloninsert/’lock’oriented
towardthe
BACKoftheairplane,untilitstopsattheendofthethreads.Tightenthis
nutinplace(donotover‐tighten!)theninstallthepropellerontheshaftandrotateitas
necessaryuntilitlinesupwith,slidesoverandfully‘engages’thenut.
Next,installthe
appropriatespinnerbackplateontheshaftandoverthepropeller.
Slidetheflatwasherontotheshaftandagainstthespinnerbackplatethenthreadthe
(front)hex‘lock’nut(withthenyloninsert/’lock’orientedawayfromthewasher)onto
theshaftandtightenitaccordingly(donotover‐tighten!).
IMPORTANTNOTE:Youwill
needtousepliers(narrowneedlenose,orevenhemostats,willworkbest)to
carefullyholdthemotorshaftbehindthepropellerwhileusinganadjustablewrench
or5.5mmsocket/wrenchtotightenthehexnutinfrontofthepropeller/spinnerback
plate.
