Optional‘Fast’Charging
Theincluded600mAh3‐Cell/3S11.1V20CLiPoBattery(AZSB6003S20J)canbe‘fast’charged
atratesupto2C(2xtheCapacityofthebattery;2x600mAh=1200mAh=1.2A)whenusing
approvedandcompatibleLiPobatterychargers.Itwilltakeapproximately30‐45minutes
to
fullychargeamostlyorfullydischarged(notover‐discharged)batterywhenchargingat2C.
For‘fast’chargingwerecommendusingtheRadient™PrimalorAscendchargers.Both
chargersarecapableofchargingtheincludedLiPobatteryatratesupto2C/1.2Aandcanalso
beusedtocharge
otherhigherandlowercapacityLiPo,NiCdandNiMHbatteries.Also,both
chargersincludeconnectorscompatiblewiththeJST‐XH(balance)connectorinstalledonthe
includedLiPobatteryandcanbepoweredfroma100–240VACoutlet.TheAscendcharger
canalsobepoweredfroma12–15VDCpowersource,such
asa12V‘car’battery,forquick
andconvenientchargingatthefieldorbeyond.
Thewingarrivesfactory‐assembledandnearlyreadytouserightoutofthebox.However,
beforeitcanbeattachedtothefuselagethereareafewdetailstocheckfirst.
Plugthe3‐wireleadfromtheaileronservointotheaileron(AILE)channelofthereceiver.
Turnthetransmitteron,centertheaileronchanneltrimandconnectasuitableLiPobattery
totheESCtopoweronthereceiverandservos.Checktobesuretheaileronservoresponds
to
leftandrightcontrolinputscorrectlythencentertheright‐handstick.
With the right‐hand stick and aileron trim centered
the servoshould also be centered.Check to be sure
thattheservoarmisasclosetoperpendiculartothe
‘long’sidesoftheservocaseaspossible.
It’sOKifthe
arm is not exactly perpendicular to the case as long
as it’s close. However, if the arm is more than 5–10
degrees away from perpendicular we suggest
removingthe arm fromthe outputgear/shaft ofthe
servothen rotating itapproximately one‘tooth’ at a
time
until it’s as close to perpendicular as possible.
You can also remove the pushrods and rotate the
servo arm 180‐degrees to find the position that
offersthebestalignmentoverall.
