Movingtheright‐handsticktotheleftwillturn(yaw)thenoseofthehelicoptertotheleft
abouttheaxisofthemainshaft.Thisisaccomplishedbyincreasingthespeedoftheupper
mainrotorbladeswhiledecreasingthespeedofthelowermainrotorblades.
Movingthesticktotherightwillturn(yaw)thenoseof thehelicoptertotherightaboutthe
axisofthemainshaft.Thisisaccomplishedbyincreasingthespeedofthelowermainrotor
bladeswhiledecreasingthespeedoftheuppermainrotorblades.
Therudder(steering)trimisusedtohelpkeepthenoseofthehelicopterfromconstantly
rotatingtotheleftorrightwheninhoverandwithnoright‐handstickinput.Forexample,if
thenoseofthehelicopterrotatestotherightwheninhover,addleftrudder
trimbypressing
theleft‐handruddertrimbuttonuntilthenoseofthehelicopterstaysasclosetostraightas
possiblewithnoinputfromyou.
It’salsoimportanttonotethatthesettingfortheruddertrimmayneedtobeadjusted
slightlyfromflighttoflightor
everduringaflightdependingonvariousfactors(any
movement/rotationofthehelicopterduringtheinitializationprocess,environmental
conditions,batteryvoltage,etc.).
