1. To upgrade the RAID controller rmware, move the mouse
cursor to “Upgrade Firmware” link. The “Upgrade The Raid System
Firmware” screen appears.
2. Click "Browser". Look in the location to which the rmware
upgrade software was downloaded. Select the le name and click
“Open”.
All les (BIOS, BOOT, FIRM and MBR0) can be updated through
this function.
3. Click “Conrm The Operation” and press the “Submit” button.
4. The web browser begins to download the rmware binary to the
controller and start to update the ash ROM.
5. After the rmware upgrade is complete, a bar indicator will show
“Firmware Has Been Updated Successfully”
6. After the new rmware has completed downloading, nd a
chance to restart the controller/computer for the new rmware to
take effect.
The web browser-based McRAID storage manager can be accessed
through the In-Band PCI-X/PCIe bus or Out-of-Band LAN port.
The In-Band method uses the ArcHttp proxy server to launch the
McRAID storage manager. The Out-of-Band method allows local or
remote to access the McRAID storage manager from any standard
internet browser via a LAN or WAN with no software or patches
required.
Controller with onboard LAN port, you can directly plug an Ethernet
cable to the controller LAN port, then enter the McBIOS RAID
manager to congure the network setting. After network setting
congured and saved, you can nd the current IP address in the
"System Information" page.
