GENERAL DESCRIPTION

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Unpack the device.

• Make sure that the operating voltage of the device

matches the mains voltage.

• Place the device on a heat-resistant, level, dry surface.

• Pour water into the kettle up to the maximum level, boil

and drain it. If after the rst boil there is an unpleasant

smell, boil the water several times. Rinse the kettle and

lter with clean water before use.

• Periodic descaling will keep the kettle performing at its

best. The descaling interval depends on the local water

hardness.

• Remove the kettle from its power base unit.

• Press the lid release button and pull lid back.
