5. Select the ‘‘I accept the terms of this license agreement button’’ and then click on the Next
button to continue. A screen showing the default location for the ARCView software is
displayed.
6. To enter a different installation location, type in the path to the desired location or click on
the Browse button to select a location.
7. Click on the Next button to install the ARCView software in the location displayed on screen.
A screen showing the progress of the installation is displayed.
8. When the installation is finished, click on the Next button. A screen showing the available
shortcut options is displayed.
9. Select the desired shortcut options and then click on the Next button. An installation has
completed message is displayed.
10. Click on the Done button. This completes the ARCView software installation.
Set the IP Address for the ARCView Workstation
For Windows XP
1. Click on the Start button.
2. Click on Control Panel.
3. Double-click on the Network Connections icon.
4. Double-click on the Local Area Connection icon for the network adapter that will be used to
connect to the mesh network.
5. Click on the Properties button under the General tab.
6. Click once on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to highlight it, and then click on the Properties
button.
7. Select “Use the following IP address” and enter the following information:
 IP address: 192.168.224.10
 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
8. Click OK to finish.
9. Close the other dialog boxes.
For Other Operating Systems
1. Refer to the documentation provided with your operating system for instructions on setting
up IP addresses and subnet masks.
2. Set up your workstation with the following network parameters:
 IP address: 192.168.224.10
 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
