3 Operation
3.1 Preparation
1. Place the appliance on a level, heat-resistant
surface.
2. Plug the power cord

into the wall socket.
Caution
• Never leave the appliance unattended while it is
plugged in.

for a second to switch on the appli-
ance.

lights up.
4. Set the temperature level with the
C
button.
– The blue light lights up and starts flashing
until it reaches the set temperature.
– When the appliance has reached the desired
temperature, the blue light stops flashing and
a signal is audible, meaning that it is ready to
use.
– The blue light is also flashing when set tem-
perature will be changed during operation
until new set temperature (higher or lower) is
reached.
Notes
• The Temperature Lock Function will be activated
automatically after turning on the appliance
within
5 seconds without any changes.
• LCD color changes from blue to red and a signal
is audible.
• To unlock the buttons, press »–«
B
for 2 times
within 2 seconds.
• Make sure your hair is completely dry.
• Select the lowest temperature setting when
using for the first time. You can find the level
which is suitable for your hair by incrementing
the temperature level.
• There are eight temperature levels (140°C =
min., 210°C = max.). The appliance is ready
to use in approx. 60 seconds while it reaches
100°C within only 30 seconds.
• The temperature level setting can go up to a
maximum temperature of 210°C after approx.
three minutes. Hold the appliance in your hand
while it heats up.
• If the appliance is not used for a while after it is
heated up, it switches off automatically after 60
minutes.
• Keep the strands of hair smooth whilst you work,
to avoid ridges part way down the strand.
• As with all straighteners that reach high salon
temperatures: use heat protection spray to avoid
damage to hair.
3.2 Straightening hair
1. Comb or brush out a strand of your hair about 3
cm wide, starting at the neck.
2. Place the strand of hair between the

plates,
as close to the hair line as you can.
Caution
• Do not touch the styling plates as they are very
hot.
3. Close the plates
A
and then immediatelly glide
the straightener down the section of hair, gently
moving from roots to tip. Avoid making kinks in
it.
Note
• If you have thick hair, you might have to repeat
this process on the same strand several times.
4. Repeat the procedure section by section.
5. After using the appliance, press
D
for a second
to switch off.

6. Unplug the power cord
