Activating security options
In the Configuration – Security tab, the default security mode is Encryption off,
i. e. all the entry fields have been deactivated.
ì In the Authentication field, select the authentication standard to activate the entry
fields.
The registration of your network adapters is then checked against the chosen
authentication standard. The Encryption on security mode is displayed in the upper
left corner of the Configuration – Security tab.
ì Then adjust the security settings of your network adapter to the requirements of the
network environment.
Deactivating security options
ì In the Authentication field, select the entry none to deactivate the entry fields.
The registration of your network adapters is then no longer checked. The
Encryption off security mode is displayed in the upper left corner of the
Configuration – Security tab.
Authentication
ì In the Authentication field, select the required network registration:
– none
No checking of registration; anybody can register to the network. The security
options are deactivated.
OR
– 802.1x
The registration is checked as per Standard 802.1x.
The security options are activated. In the Encryption field, you can choose
encryption methods none, WEP 64 or WEP 128.
OR
– WPA-PSK
The registration is checked as per Standard WPA-PSK.
The security options are activated. The Encryption field contains TKIP.
