6 Troubleshooting
This chapter provides troubleshooting information.
On-Site Troubleshooting
General Troubleshooting Guidelines
The first and most important aspect of troubleshooting is to be systematic. Note where
you looked and what you found.
Look first for the obvious.
Make a physical inspection of the entire facility. Are all necessary connections
properly made? Do you see any signs of obvious damage within the equipments?
Is the AC power ON to the site and the equipment? Check fuses and circuit
breakers if necessary.
Are all the switches in the correct operating position?
Is the input signal present?
Check PA LCD readings for presence of forward and reflected power and 30 V DC
supply levels.
Initial Operation – Troubleshooting Issues
The following troubleshooting issues relate to the Initial Operation Procedure on page 3.
These issues may occur during the course of initial operation. The recommended
corrections do not require any external test equipment.
Symptom Possible Fault Correction
The WMTS LEDs are not
lit
UPS or WMTS are not
operating
1. Check UPS On/Off
switch.
2. Check WMTS On/Off switch.
A WMTS LED behaves
abnormally
Restart WMTS using the rear panel
On/Off switch.
