1. Keep your finger off the trigger and point the pistol in a safe direction. Hold the pistol
in your shooting hand.
2. Draw the slide back completely to its rearmost position, then allow the slide to snap
forward into the "baltery" (ready to fire) position. These actions move a round of
ammunition from the magazine to the chamber and cock the pistol's hammer. (Operating
.,
the slide in other than a positive manner may cause a misfeed and/or jam in the pistol.)
3. With the pistol pointed at the intended target (and in a safe direction), ensure the thumb"
sa.ety is set to the "FIRE" position as shown in Figure 1. The pistol is now ready to fire,
4. With the pistol pointed at the intended target (and in a safe direction), squeeze the
trigger to fire the round in the chamber. When the round has
fired,

be ejected and another round automatically loaded into the chamber from the magazine.
If the next round is not to be fired immediately, move the thumb safety to the "SAFE"
position until you are ready to fire again.
5. After firing the last shot, the slide stop will hold the slide in the open position.

1. With the pistol pointed in a safe direction and your finger off of the trigger, engage the
thumb safety.
2. Press the magazine latch to the right to release the magazine and remove the magazine
from the pistoL

3. While ensuring the pistol is pointed in a safe direction and keeping your finger off of the
trigger, pull the slide to its rearmost position and lock it by pushlRg up on the slide stop.
4. If the jammed round was not ejected by pulling back the slide; working ONLY from the
chamber area of the slide, use a small wood or plastic rod (sharpened on the working end)
to gently remove the cartridge from the chamber. 00 NOT USE A METAL 101ll

5. When the jammed round has been removed, carefully inspect the pistol to ensure a round
did not lodge in the magazine well of the grip frame.

6. Inspect the magazine for proper ammunition loading prior to reinserting into pistol.
