3.2.5. AHCI Conguration

Access this submenu to view the presence of any IDE device. This submenu

also congures the system’s AHCI feature.

AHCI Port0

Opens the following settings:

Setting Description

SATA Port0

Sets the type of the IDE device connected to the system, or

leaves it on BIOS auto-detection.

` Available options are: Auto (default) and Not Installed.

S.M.A.R.T.

Enables/disables S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring Analysis and

Reporting Technology).

` S.M.A.R.T. is a utility to monitor the disk status to predict

hard disk failure

` Available options are Disabled and Enabled (default).
