TheAquaMetrixES-5seriestoroidalconductivitysensorsareused
inprocesseswhereconventionalcontactingsensorsmaybecome
fouledorcorroded.Theseprobesareuniqueinthemarketplace.
Theyareloop-poweredandprovidedirect4-20mAoutput.
EachsensorcomesstandardwithaPt100RTDtemperaturedevice,
whichprovidesautomatictemperaturecompensationto25°C(77°F).
TheAquaMetrixES-5sensorsareequippedwith1.5”MNPTthreads
onbothendssothattheycanbemountedforin-owapplicationsor
submersionmountedintanksoropenvessels.
Operating Principle
Toroidalconductivitysensorsaremadeupoftwo-wirewoundtoroids
encapsulatedinapottingcompoundandencasedinaplasticbody.
Onetoroidactsasatransmitterandtheotherasareceiver.An
electriccurrentisinducedbetweenthetoroidsthroughtheprocess
solution.Thiscurrentisdirectlyproportionaltotheconductivityofthe
processsolution.
(The terms electrodeless and toroidal are interchangeable in regards
to this type of conductivity sensor.)
