INSTALLATION
Clean the unit before using. Wipe body and the inside of the unit with a hot, wet cloth to remove any shipping
dust or protective oil.
The counter base, if enclosed, must have ventilation openings at least equal in size to the condenser inlet
and discharge areas of the model installed combined. If multiple units are installed in the cabinet the
ventilation area must be equal to the total area of all of the cold wells. The cabinet in which the unit is
installed must be vented so that the condensing unit can draw in cool air and exhaust hot air to cool the
condensing unit. If the condensing unit does not receive cool air, the product temperature will not be
maintained, the condensing unit will overheat, and its thermal overload will shut the unit down, and if not
addressed, will cause the compressor to fail.
If multiple cold wells are placed in the same counter they must be arranged so that each unit draws in cool air
and expels hot air. They must not be arranged so that the exhaust of one cold well is the intake for another.
The cold wells are intended for use in rooms having an ambient temperature of 30°C (86°F) or less.
Temperatures above this will cause the unit to not cool adequately. This also includes any cabinet the unit
might be placed into. During operation the ambient temperature in the cabinet should not exceed 30°C
(86°F).
The pan supports must not be raised so that the product is at the same level as the top of the unit. This is a
Bloomington Rail design and the product is purposely meant to be located approximately 3 inches below the
top flange. This provides a 3 inch blanket of cold air over the top of the product. It is normal to have frost on
the top 3 inches of the wall of the cold well above the pan supports, since this area has the heaviest
concentration of cooling coils.
The cold well should be installed in a location where no ceiling fans, exhaust from other equipment or air
