Important: Understanding use of DC Extension Cables for QS1
Most QS1 installations do not require use of DC extension cables. See the diagrams below to
determine if your configuration will require one or more DC extension cables to complete your
installation.
Standard Configuration (DC extension cables NOT required)
In the 2X2 configuration above, DC extension cables are not required.
Non-standard Configuration (DC extension cables required)
In the 1X4 configuration above, two pairs (4 total) of DC Extension cables will be required for
every QS1 installed in this panel orientation.
Installers can use DC extension cables sold by APsystems or from another quality, reputable
source. This includes extension cables made by licensed solar PV and electrical professionals
and use of such will not impact APsystems microinverter warranty.
