Starting up the engine (03_09)
The starter and idle speed adjustment
functions are electronically managed by
the stepper motor. Therefore, the start-up
procedure is the same for cases when the
engine is cold or warm.
The engine must be started with the throt-
tle control fully untwisted.
•
Take the gear to the neutral po-
sition.
•
Unfold the kick start pedal on the
right side of the vehicle.
•
Kick the start pedal; start from
the upper section of the pedal
travel and push it as far as it will
go, firmly but not violently (do
not exert excessive force when
kicking)
NOTE
IF THE ENGINE FAILS TO START AF-
TER 10 TIMES THE PEDAL IS KICKED,
DO NOT ATTEMP TO START THE EN-
GINE AGAIN OR THE ENGINE WILL
GET FLOODED. SHOULD THIS OC-
CUR, DISCONNECT THE KEY CON-
NECTOR ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE
VEHICLE AND KICK THE PEDAL 5
TIMES WITH A QUICK AND CON-
STANT MOVEMENT. NOW, THE KEY
Starten des motors (03_09)
De functies van de starter en de regeling
van het minimum toerental worden elek-
tronisch bestuurd door de stepper motor.
Daarom is de procedure van de start de-
zelfde zowel bij koude als bij warme mo-
tor.
De procedure van de start moet uitge-
voerd worden wanneer het gascomman-
do helemaal wordt losgelaten.
•
Plaats de versnellingsbak in zijn
vrij.
•
Trek het startpedaal (kick start)
uit dat aanwezig is op de rechter
kant van het voertuig.
•
Activeer het pedaal vanaf de bo-
venste slag van het pedaal, en
door het helemaal naar onder te
duwen met een snelle en conti-
nue (maar niet te energetische)
beweging.
N.B.
ALS HET VOERTUING NA 10 POGIN-
GEN NIET WORDT GESTART, MAG
DIT NIET LANGER GEPROBEERD
WORDEN OM TE VERMIJDEN DAT DE
MOTOR ZOU VERZUIPEN. IN DIT GE-
VAL MOET DE SLEUTELCONNECTOR
LOSGEKOPPELD WORDEN DIE AAN-
