Installation Recommendations CONTROLLING SENSOR should be mounted: Wiring Do not mount CONTROLLING SENSOR: • On an interior wall, in a frequently occupied space. • Behind doors, in corners or other dead air spaces. • Approximately 5’ above the floor. • In direct sunlight, near lighting fixtures, or other appliances that give off heat. • At least 18” from outside wall. • On an outside or unconditioned area wall. • In the flow of a supply register, in stairwells, or near outside doors.

Wiring (continued) Dip Switch Configuration The Support Module has 6 dip switches, as shown in the diagram to the right, that must be configured. The 8800 thermostat must be powered down for 90 seconds for dip switch settings to take effect.

Dip Switch Configuration (continued) Troubleshooting SENSOR 2 MODE – Dip Switch 4 The 8800 thermostat display is blank 8081 • Check circuit breaker and reset if necessary. This dip switch determines if sensor 2, which is the remote sensor on T3&T4, is a controlling (on) or monitoring (off) temperature. • Make sure power switch at heating & cooling system is on. If the switch is set to off, sensor 2 will monitor the temperature.
