Zoned Comfort Control

Engineering Specification

• The Zoned Comfort Control system shall be complete and

include zone control panels, zone dampers, plenum

temperature sensor and thermostats as required.

Model 6404 Zoned Comfort Control Panel

Engineering Specification

• Shall be capable of controlling up to 12 zones with the use of a

4-zone Base Panel and 2-zone Expansion Panels.

• Shall be compatible with virtually all makes of equipment and

thermostats through use of standard contact closure relays

labeled using industry standard R, W, Y and G.

• Shall be compatible with single or multi-stage heat/cool

equipment or single or multi-stage heat pump equipment

through on board configuration switches.

• Shall be compatible with a plenum temperature sensor to

protect the equipment from excessive high or low

temperatures that can be caused by airflow reductions

or the temperature swings that can exist when the

system bypasses excess air to the return.

• Shall have LED indicators that provide system status for

check out and troubleshooting purposes.

Shall have the option to control staging based upon adjustable

on board times through number of zones calling or through

thermostat input.

Zone Control Dampers • Shall allow zone changeover based on time, in the event of an opposite call, the panel shall alternate between heating and cooling to ensure occupant comfort. • Zone dampers shall be rectangular or round, as required, and be complete with factory mounted actuator. • Shall incorporate equipment short cycle protection through 4 minute minimum on/off times for compressor operation.
