Using the Welcome Mat
Use the Welcome Mat to help you unpack and connect
the components of your new personal computer. The
recommended order is:
1. Keyboard
2. Mouse
3. Monitor signal cable
4. Stereo speakers (and optional sub-woofer)
5. Modem cable
6. Microphone (optional)
7. Monitor power cord
8. System unit power cord
Once your computer is connected, switch on the power
at the wall socket. The Power Mode light next to the
POWER button (the large, round button on the front of
the computer) should glow red to show that the computer
is ready to start.
