GMWS GLASS-MOUNTED WINDSHIELD TAGS
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOLDING
Body-blocking of the GMWS Glass-Mounted Windshield Tag, for use with AWID’s LR-911
Long-Range Reader, can be eliminated by holding the glass rectangle as shown in the
photograph above. This method of holding the tag keeps the hand behind the glass,
away from the reader.
Be sure that the tag is on the side of the glass away from the reader, so that the copper
circuit and integrated circuit face the reader through the glass.
For best read range, hold the glass rectangle so that the glass and the reader are
approximately parallel to each other, with the edges of the glass piece and the edges of
the reader case aligned with each other.
