High availability for NAT46
3
DRAFT: BROCADE CONFIDENTIAL
If the packets exceed these limitations, one of the following actions will be taken:
1. If the frag-664-reverse-full-sized-pkt command is configured, the packet will be split and no
further actions will be performed.
2. If the condition in step 1 isn’t met, and the DF bit is set at the server, the “frag needed” ICMP
error message will be sent.
3. If the conditions in steps 1 and 2 aren’t met, the packet will be split.
The frag-664-reverse-full-sized-pkt command is configured as shown in the following.
ServerIronADX(config)# frag-664-reverse-full-sized-pkt
Syntax: [no] frag-664-reverse-full-sized-pkt
For more information about NAT64 fragmentation support see “NAT64 fragmentation support” on
page 5.
High availability for NAT46
The only high availability mode currently supported with NAT46 feature is the Active-Active HA.
Support for this mode is essentially the same as for the IPv6 client to IPv6 resource configuration
as described in “High availability for NAT64” on page 17 with the following differences.
Each ServerIron ADX is configured with a NAT64 IPv6 prefix, specifying the IPv6 address range
and a NAT64 IPv4 prefix, specifying the IPv4 address range.
Because the NAT46 configuration does not use a port pool, the port pool range option is not
configured.
Because the NAT46 configuration is stateless, the “inject active only for HAconfiguration is
not used.
Displaying NAT46 information
You can display the following information for a NAT46 configuration:
NAT64 IPv4 to IPv6 address mapping
In-progress NAT64 DNS dynamic learning
NAT64 statistics – see “Displaying NAT 64 statistics” on page 20
NAT64 resources – see “Displaying NAT 64 resources” on page 23
Displaying NAT64 IPv4 to IPv6 address mapping
You can use the show nat64 map command to display NAT64 IPv4 to IPv6 address mappings in a
stateless NAT64 gateway. This output is displayed as follows.
ServerIron ADX# show nat64 map all
