Advantages of NAT64
• It is completely transparent to end-users because address translation occurs at the service
provider network edge and it involves no change in client-end CPE devices. Thus it can be an
extremely cost-effective and practical solution.
• It allows for transition to IPv6 while preserving existing IPv4-based infrastructure. It facilitates
coexistence of IPv4-only and IPv6-only devices while ensuring seamless communication
between the two during the transition period.
