Preface

This guide provides instructions for using RAID Admin to conﬁgure and monitor Xserve

RAID systems and using Disk Utility to enhance hardware RAID arrays. For descriptions of

RAID levels and the types of arrays you can set up on an Xserve RAID system, see Chapter 7,

“RAID Overview,” and Chapter 8, “Planning RAID Storage for the Xserve RAID System,” in the

Xserve RAID User’s Guide.
