Printer Fails Self-
Tests
1 Perform “Fiber Track Cleaning” in Additional Procedures.
2 Perform “Print Head Cleaning” in Additional Procedures.
3 Replace ink cartridge. See Additional Procedures.
4 Reseat all logic board connectors. If problem continues,
replace the logic board.
5 Check operation of mechanical assembly. If damaged, replace
mechanical assembly.
Vertical Misalignment 1 Check for oil or excessive ink on encoder strip. Clean the
encoder strip with water. If necessary, replace the encoder
strip.
2 Clean and inspect the mechanism. If the mechanism cause
printer related problems, replace the mechanism.
