Troubleshooting Symptom Charts/Print Quality - 22
Underlines or streaks 1 Replace ink cartridge and retest.
2 Reseat the flexible ribbon carriage cable. Replace the cable.
3 Perform “Fiber Track Cleaning” in Additional Procedures.
4 Perform “Print Head Cleaning” in Additional Procedures.
5 Reseat all logic board connectors. If problem continues,
replace the logic board.
6 Check operation of mechanical assembly. If damaged, replace
mechanical assembly.
Prints wrong color 1 Perform “Print Head Cleaning” in Additional Procedures.
2 Replace ink cartridge. See Additional Procedures.
3 Reseat all logic board connectors. If problem continues,
replace the logic board.
4 Replace mechanical assembly.
Black and white is
printing instead of
color
1 Check print settings. Make sure the “Print is Grayscale”
option is not selected and that other color options are
specified correctly.
