Operation
When shutter button
is pressed, no picture
is shown
1 Load memory card.
2 Format memory card.
3 Load new memory card or erase frame.
4 Remove write-protection.
5 Initialize memory card.
6 Turn on camera.
7 Replace batteries.
8 Set mode dial to Record-Fine ( ) or Record ( ).
Playback screen is too
bright
Set aperture to f8 ( ) and take picture again.
Image played back is
blurred
1 Clean camera lens.
2 Hold camera steady when taking picture.
3 Check focus and focal range.
4 Set mode dial to Record-Fine ( ).
5 Point camera lens away from direct bright light.
Playback image does
not appear on LCD or
monitor screen
Check cable connection.
Cannot initialize card
or erase frame
1 Remove write-protection.
2 Remove protected status.
Computer Use
Computer doesn’t
recognize camera
1 Check serial cable connection.
2 Turn on camera, and verify mode dial is set to Computer
().
3 Replace batteries.
4 If system software was upgraded after installing QuickTake
camera software, reinstall camera software. Refer to user
manual.
5 If sharing a serial port needed for another device and
AppleTalk is turned on, turn off AppleTalk. Use the modem
port.
6 QuickTake camera software will not work correctly if it was
dragged to the hard disk. Reinstall software using Installer
provided on camera software CD-ROM disc.
Not enough memory Quit open programs that are not in use.
