Power conservation
Your PowerBook keeps track of what power source you are using and can
change the power conservation settings accordingly. To control automatic
power conservation, follow these steps:
1 Choose Control Panels from the Apple ( K ) menu, and open the PowerBook control
panel. (Or, use the Power Settings module in the Control Strip.)
2 Click the Custom button.
3 Click the Auto button.
4 Select a power source in the pop-up menu.
5 Drag the sliders to the settings you want.

6 Close the PowerBook control panel.
To use the preset power conservation settings, click Default. To turn off
automatic power conservation, click Manual.
