If you encounter problems when installing or using the software code-named
Rhapsody, read this chapter for solutions.
Why can’t I set the screen resolution?
In this version of Rhapsody you must set the monitor resolution and color
depth using the Mac OS Monitors & Sound control panel. This stores the
monitor settings in parameter RAM so Rhapsody can read and utilize them.
Why is my monitor screen black?
If you have an unsupported video card in your computer, you may need to
remove it—even if no monitor is attached to the card.
If you have an AppleVision monitor, the monitor’s ADB cable must be
connected to the ADB port on the back of the computer. See your
AppleVision user’s manual for information on properly connecting the
monitor to the computer.
If the screen is black when you restart, follow these steps:
1 Press Command-Power, then press the H key on your keyboard.
This will halt Rhapsody.
2 Press Command-Control-Power to restart the computer.
