The only tool required for this procedure is a atblade screwdriver. A small mirror to use in
locating the board is optional.
Preliminary Steps
Before you begin, open the computer, lay it on its side with the access side facing up, and remove
the following:
Front inlet fan assembly
Heatsink cover
Processor inlet frame (Dual 2.0/2.3 GHz) or Processor inlet frame (Quad)
Processor (Dual 2.0/2.3 GHz) or Processor (Quad)
Processor support bar
All graphics and PCI Express cards
AirPort Extreme/Bluetooth combo card and runway card
Rear exhaust fan assembly
PCI card guide
Speaker/fan assembly
Front panel board
PCI divider
Logic board
Power supply
