No raster; power

1 Ensure monitor’s video cable is properly connected to
computer or video card in the computer.
2 Replace main deflection board.
Raster edges have
color blotches when
displaying an all-
white screen
1 Degauss monitor with an external degaussing coil.
2 Move monitor to different location and repeat degaussing
procedure.
Note: This symptom is caused by strong magnetic fields in the
environment. Exchanging boards will not cure the symptom. Refer
to “First Checklist” in this chapter.
