The text object masks the image.

Changing Text Opacity
Use the Opacity slider or value field in the Dashboard or in the Inspector to adjust the
opacity of a text object.
To set the text object opacity in the Dashboard:
1 Select the text object.
2 Press D to display the Dashboard.
The Opacity controls are located at the top of the Dashboard.
3 Drag the Opacity slider.
