Channel Strip Types
You can use the following types of channel strips in a MainStage concert:
Audio channel strip: Use with guitars, instruments, microphones, and other audio Â
devices connected to your computer.
Software instrument channel strip: Use with keyboard controllers and other MIDI Â
devices that send MIDI note messages.
External instrument channel strip: Use to control external hardware synthesizers and Â
sound modules and ReWire applications.
Auxiliary (aux) channel strip: Use to route the audio output from other channel strips Â
and with multi-output instruments.
