Play or sing using your microphone:
If you are using a microphone or another musical instrument with MainStage, you can m
also use MIDI devices to send patch changes and control patch parameters as you
play. Move the controls on your device and see if the MIDI Activity meter above the
workspace responds.
Continue selecting and playing patches in the concert to nd the sounds you want to
use in performance or to use as a starting point for creating your own custom patches.
Key Concepts
Patch setting: Â A group of channel strip and plug-in parameters that denes the sound
of a patch. You select patch settings in the Patch Library.
Patch List: Â The area to the left of the workspace in Edit mode that shows the patches
and sets in a MainStage concert.
Set: Â A folder in the Patch List that you can use to organize a group of patches you
want to keep together.
