Identifying the Mac Pro (8x)
To identify a Mac Pro (8x) computer, check the computer’s conguration label, which is located
on the computer’s back panel directly below the video ports. Two numbers on the conguration
label identify the computer as a Mac Pro (8x):
On the rst line of the label, the EMC number is listed as “2138”•
On the second line, the conguration description includes “3.0_8cx”•
Serial Number Location
The Mac Pro (8x) serial number is located on the conguration label, directly below the
conguration description.
