Mac Pro (8x) Take Apart — Ambient Board Cable 116
Procedure
Remove any tape holding the ambient board cable to the enclosure.1.
Disconnect the ambient board cable from the ambient board and logic board. 2.
Using a magnetized #1 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two mounting screws on the hard 3.
drive connector for drive bay 1 and move the connector out of the way.
Route the ambient board cable out through the opening in the media shelf and remove the 4.
cable from the enclosure.
Important: After you replace the ambient board cable, you must reset the System Management
Controller. Refer to “Resetting the Logic Board” in the Troubleshooting chapter.
