Carefully peel up any tape that may be securing the hard drive ex cable to the drive. 4.
Important: Avoid tearing the hard drive label, as it will void the warranty.
Use a black stick to lift the right side of the hard drive and slide it right slightly to release its 5.
left side from the rubber grommets in the frame and to gain access to the ex connector.
Note: Do not put strain on the ex cable extension that connects to the bluetooth card, as it
can be dislodged from its connector.
If there is Kapton tape securing the ex connector, remove it very carefully to ensure that 6.
you don’t damage the label. A damaged label voids the warranty of the hard drive. (Note
that some hard drives may not have a vibration dampening disc like the one below.)
